Cheap, thin plastic balls (like ping pong ball thin) on a thin nylon string (braided dental floss comes to mind), the balls have strange dimples like a golf ball which started to flake the gold coating the second time I washed them. They do have a weight in each ball so you do feel a sensation but only if you're really moving around (jogging, for example, would probably do it). Product went in the trash.
